Red and white cabbage is harvested from July to November and placed in cold storage facilities to enable their year-round supply for consumption.
COLOUR
White cabbage has a yellow-green tint. Red cabbage is purplish.
PACKAGING
Cabbages are supplied in 10-kg and 25-kg polynet bags. White cabbage is packed in green net bags, red cabbage in purple net bags. The bags are packed in cardboard outer boxes. Cabbages are also available unpacked in outer boxes, or in 15-kg export crates, which are stacked op pallets.
USE
For consumption and industrial use such as the production of sauerkraut.
SIZES
Cabbages from 1-kg to 3-kg upwards are available throughout the year.
TRANSPORT
The number of bags varies per pallet, depending on both the weight of the bag and the size of the product.
